I don't have an artist statement, I never liked them and think they are silly.  I feel that each work of art is individual to it's own time, situation and viewer, or it's overall context.  This means that artwork regardless of any intent by the artist or anyone else becomes specific to the view at that particular moment in time dependent on the own viewers experiances.  This is how art communicates it's various messages and does what it is supposed to do.  What I feel art is supposed to do is make you feel.  In some way it must give you a feeling or make you think, cause some sort of emotional reaction inside of you.  Art is a very faint and fuzzy thing that can't really be defined in any one way except that it does something to you on the inside, changes you in a miniscule way or even in a large way.  My favorite thing is it's fluctuating and undefinable characteristics, it's like it is alive but only when it wants to be and only at certain times to certain people.  I believe in God the creator as the ultimate artist and that I am imbued with a creative talent that just comes to me when I am quiet, tuned in and listen.  I feel everyone has this available to them and that everyone can be an artist in their own right creating beauty with their own talent.  This means that things not normally considered art would be defined as art by myself, for instance, a list of calculations and numbers describing the atomic decay of Uranium, the Genomic sequencing of Humans or Phytoplankton.  When a researcher or scientist that is involved in this type of data and research views these things it speaks to them in a way that paintings or sculptures might speak to others, the feelings associated with such understanding or realization is what I call Art.  With this in mind, all art is not art but the feelings or reactions, the response to what you view or experience, that is what I really define as art and the object is just the vehicle to convey this into your mind.  So, everything on my website that I have created and call art is art and not art at the same time.

I have attempted to describe what art is to people but I am often dismissed.  I think that the most true sense of art is best described by a few of the books I have read, one of them being "The Fabric of the Cosmos" by Brian Green.  There is a disucssion of special relativity and how an event can be viewed differently depending on your perspective and time thus giving two completely different results with each result being entirely truthfull and correct.  Art works in this way and can be seen in different peoples reactions and interpretations of art.  Instead of there being a work of art that is fixed it is a variable thing and much like a virus it cannot exist without a host.  Once a viewer observes a work of art they are changed by that work and that change now plays a role in every interpretation in the future thus leading to mutations, immunities and various other morphs of artistic interpretation.  This is how art lives and is actually a living being or some sort of entity, some sort of something, like space, not really definable and difficult to identify.
